How to feed late nighters: An idea
The idea was to have a vending machine that did not rely on the use of physical cash. The concept is straightforward: someone pays my Venmo account with a specific code to select which ramen they want, then the machine dispenses it. Not everyone carries their wallet when wandering the campus late at night. My team was composed of late nighters and ramen is a late night college student’s best friend, so we decided it would dispense ramen packets. This was a twelve hour hackathon project done in the Fall of 2016.
MY Role
I worked on the mechanical and electrical components of this project. The entire vending machine was built from scratch. I spent four hours designing the circuit and then actually putting it together. The rest of the night was spent putting the vending machine body together and ensuring that the individual motors were functioning properly.
